Maize is a growing community with a small town feel and we’re proud to be able to serve this community, the surrounding areas, our state, country and all around the world.

The Maize Lions Club meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at the Maize Community Center

Scholarship Program
The Maize Lions are pleased to announce we have established a “Maize Lions Scholarship Program” for students graduating from the Maize school district.
Cell Phones for Soldiers
Cell Phones for Soldiers is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services to active duty military members and veterans.
Caring Hearts
Wish to thank all who have helped and continue to help support the Christmas assistance program for families in the Maize School district.
Old Glory Project
This project is now complete with American Flags having been installed on both sides of Maize Rd between 37th St and 53rd St for a total of two (2) miles of patriotic pride.
Community Service Grant
In keeping with our mission to encourage and empower volunteers to serve their communities, we are proud to announce the establishment of a Community Service Grant Program. Non-profit organizations that are selected will have an opportunity to earn a grant in exchange for providing community service.
Donation Requests
When requesting a donation from the Maize Lions Club, you must fill out the required application and submit it so that it is received no later than 6 weeks prior to the date the donation is needed.
Eyeglass Assistance
The Maize Lions Club is proud to participate in the Kansas Lions Sight Foundation whose mission is to 1) aid the blind and visually impaired; 2) preserve eyesight through the purchase of equipment; 3) to support eye programs; and in the LensCrafters’ One Sight program which provides assistance to those in need who cannot afford the purchase of eyeglasses.
Emergency Grant Application
The Kansas Lions Foundation in coorpoeration with our Special Donors are proud to announce the KLAT Emergency Grant as part of the Kansas Lions Foundation’s Alert Team Program.

District 17N Maize Lions Club

The Maize Lions Club began on January 8, 1959, with The Valley Center Lions Club as its sponsor. This original charter was disbanded in the mid 1990’s. The current club was re-established in January 2003, and sponsored by the Airport Lions Club.
